Airfloat UK Platforms and Air Pallet Transporters are offered in welded stainless steel, and aluminum structures designed for carrying large loads.

These highly mobile Air Caster equipped platforms are efficient for the following typical applications:

ASSEMBLY LINE:
Moving machine tools, transformers, construction equipment or any other large loads.

BAY TRANSFER:
Large, heavy loads can easily be moved between bays.

RANDOM MOVEMENT:
Transporting large equipment loads.

FEATURES:

GUIDE WHEELS: Guide wheels are recommended for loads above 10,000 lbs. (4,540 kg.) Wheels are actuated by air springs which force wheels against floor. Prevents drifting on floor slopes and when changing directions. May be retracted for lateral movement.

Drive Tractor Interlock: This hookup gives full directional control of the platform, "Dead Man" control of the main air supply to the Aircasters is from the main control console. Clenching the leaver handle on the console of the drive tractor raises the platform using further controls adjusting the pressure to the tractor for traction control, the air is on; release and the air shuts off.

Airfloat UK Air caster based platforms are carefully designed to suit your needs, from gently floating an aircraft engine in the production line from one station to the next.

Our design is created to ensure an economical energy saving option. Direction is controlled by a central guide wheel that is retractable and to move a 2 ton mass takes a gentle push by the technician or using an inbuilt pneumatic drive that is also available as a hitched Drive Tractor.

Standard light duty pallet transporters are available. and we provide standard heavy duty types with Drive Tractors in varied sizes and combinations that include central guide wheels or side mounted guide wheels for in plant automation with complete automation solutions such as the one seen on our achievements page in the car park. This innovation allows a "dumb" platform to be used with no umbilical, all air is provided from the float surface using a specialized patented system allowing multiple platforms to be added as needed from the platform storage area where they are stacked automatically.

The Floating Stage

In 1994 a 3 piece mobile floating stage was designed and created for the Wild Coast Sun Casino a South African Holiday Resort and Casino that was designed after the "Hippodrome" in Birmingham, England made by BHC where 20 ton the Orchestra Pit is moved to maximize its sound potential.

Air Platforms

Used in combination with our specialized Drive Tractors these platforms can be designed to carry any shaped load with load capacities of 1 ton up to 100 ton and more.

Stainless Steel platforms are custom designed for this soy factory where food grade equipment is required in the highest quality standard.

Aircraft Engine assembly

Some things that involve human safety, gentle handling simply cannot be risked to a wheel. Jet engines are handled from the moment assembly begins on a bubble of air, suspended on and transported through the line safely and gently to ensure product perfection and reliability.
